Native Of Hensall
James Blatchford, 78, a native
of Hensall, died in Vancouver,
B.C., on Christmas Day. He was
a son of the late Mr, and Mrs.
Richard Blatchford.
A school teacher in North
Dakota for some years, Mr.
Blatchford later =sled to Van-
couver where he was an active
worker in 'the Baptist Church.
His wife predeceased him. He
is survived by three daughters,
one son and one grandchild;
three sisters, Mrs. August Peter-
son, Rapid City, S.D.; Mrs. Court
Holley, Windsor, Virg., and Mrs.
C. L, Jinks, Hensel]. '
W. Henry Pfile
Active In Church.
William Henry Pfile, 76, a res-
ident of Hensall for over 35
years, died in Scott Memorial
Hospital, Seaforth, on Friday,
December 27.
Mr. Pfile formerly 'conducted
a shoe business for some years,
was an active member ofithe
United Church, former superin-
tendent of the Sunday School,
and a member of the choir for a
number of years,
Surviving are his widow, the
formerEdith Durst, one brother,
Urban Pfile, Dashwood; three
sisters, 'Mrs. Melfssa Geiger,
Mrs, Pearl Mellick and Mrs,
Clara Jacobi, all of Zurich.
Public funeral services con-
ducted by Rev, C. D. Daniel,
Were held from the Bonthron
funeral ehapel on Monday, Dec,
30 at 2 p.m. with interment in
the Goshen Line E.U.I3. eeme
toy.
At one time he farmed in: the
Zurich district and operated a
shoe business there.
