The club first donated $5,000 to finance the campaign, later • Made another $10,000- contri- bution whic1 . was raised in a cottage raffle conducted in conjunction with Grand Bend Lions. CIVIC EETTERMENT—Erect- ing town street signs was one of tile many civic projects undertaken by Exeter Lions. Picture shows Lion J. B. Creech, now in Kingsville, and the late J. P. Bowey, who was secretary for many years, fastening a sign to a pole. Lions have assisted in the trap rock floor campaign, rec- reation council financing, pur- chase of uniforms for the town band. SPONSOR SCOUTS — Since its ' inception in '1337, Exeter Lions Club has sponsored Scouting activities in Exeter. Two years ago the club erected a. $7,000 Scout House on John street which provides a meeting place for Cabs, Guides, Brownies as well as Scouts.
