The Women's: Institute of
Oransi. 13end, held their regular
monthly .meeting on Thursday
afternoon. The rut call. was
answered with suggestions: .on
"What to do .with Old age.'.
• The program was under Mrs,
Sweitzer, as health con-
vener. Mrs. E. Keown spoke on
the motto, and Mrs. Switzer
gave a .demonstration ef extract-

prised to see the amount of juice

The Institute decided to :spear-
head a movement to. have the
business people as well as the
private .citizens decorate their
premises for Christmas, and to
visit the village council in this
respect.

All Occasions will be held in
Dashwood on December 8, to
which all Grand Bend in.embers
are urged to -attend,
Mrs, Boy Morenz gave her re-
port on the .area convention in .
London in October.
T.W.S. Elects Officers
The T.W.S. group of the United
Church met on Friday -evening,
with Mrs. Wally Desjardine in
the chair in the absence of Mrs.
G. Thomas. The devotional part.
of the meeting was conducted by
Mrs, William Sturdevant, assist-
ed. by Mrs, L. Mason and- Mrs.
K. Roberts,
The election of officers for the
year 1958 was then held. Mrs,
G, Thomas and Mr's. Wally Des
jardine were re-elected as co -
presidents; Mrs. K. Roberts was
elected secretary, and Mrs. E.
Mcllroy as treasurer. The mat-
ter of . electing the committees
was held ever :for a later meeting.

Lunch was then served by Mrs.
Sturdevant, Mrs. Mason and
Mrs. Roberts.

The .1-forne and School -Club
held their regular monthly ,meet-
ing on Thursday evening in the
public :schoel, with Mrs.:4, Wal-
dron in the chair, Mr. D. G.

age, relationship of the parents .of
the pupils with the teachers,
Mrs. Peter Anderson was ;n
charge of the program portion bf
the meeting,
A short business meeting was
then held. The matter of pur-
chnsing a projector .and.filais' for
the school waa brought up by thp
principal as a project for the
coming year, and this was held
over till the net meeting when
more particulars would be avail-
able.
The next meeting,. in January,
will take the form of , a social
evening, for the purpose' of intro -
(hieing the newcomers to the
regular residents of the .village.

meeting on Tuesday evening at
the home of Mrs. Ted Stanlake,
with A good attendance of mem-
bers present, A short business
meeting was also held at which
it was decided to purchase .some
more dolls and materials for the •
Christmas display, and basket
for the Lambton County Chit.
dren's Aid Society. Mrs, Roy

of Goderich, as visitors on Tues-
day, and on the weekend, Mr.
and Mrs. Carl Vernier, Mr. • and
Mrs, Billie Baird, and Mr, Del-
bert Mason visited with Mr. and
Mrs, Baird.
Mr, and Mrs, Roy Flear are
visiting in Toronto this week
where . • they will celebrate a
birthday of Mr. Flexes mother,
and also visit with other friends
and relatives.
