EXeter celebrated their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary
last week. Mr. Moodie, who came to Canada at the .age
of 16, was road superintendent of Usborne township for
many years. This picture of. the couple was taken at

William Moodie, Andrew street,
when they celebrated their sixty -
filth wedding anniversary.
They -received a personal mes-
sage from Queen Elizabeth,
Prime Minister Diefenbaker,
Premier Froat, Elston Cardiff
MP, Thomas Fryde MPP, and
Mrs. Pryile and Hon J. G, Garr,
diner. The latter worked with
Mr. Moodie on the farm as a
young man and never fails to
remember Mr. Moodie oh spec-
ial days.
The Moodie s were at home to,
friends and neighbOurs on Satur-
day afternoon and 85 called to
extend best wishes. The tea
table was • decorated • in bronze
and gold and the living room
resembled a flower garden With
all the gifts of plants and flow-
ers,

Moodie and
Mar Agnes Kydd,
both of Usborne Township, were
married bY the late Dr. Flet-

Presbyterian (now Unite d)
Church, and made their home
on the groOM's farm. Sik years
ago they moved to , Exeter to
reside With their daughter, Mrs.
Margaret ,Fletcher, A n ot h e r
daughter, Mrs. Stanley Coward,
reticles in Usborne. •
While oh the farm, Mr. Moodie
was active in Thames' Road
Church, singing in the choir for
60 years and for 20 years was
superintendent of the Sunday
School, He was road superin-
terident of the township for 28
years.
Mrs. Moodie was an active
member of the women's organ-
izations of the churchAt pre-
sent they are members of
James Street United Church.
They have four grandchildren
and 10 great grandchildren.
The celebrants are in good
health and as one of the daugh-
ters was heard to remark, "They
stood the celebration much bet-
ter than I did,"

ful on tap of apples, Using a tea-
spoon dipped in cold water,
make a depression in top of bis-
cuit, Fill each with a mixture
of 2 tablespoons melted butter,
2 tablespoons sugar and lh tea-
spoon cinnamon, Sake in mode-
rate oven until apples are ten-
der and biscuits are' done.

1 tap, salt

minutes. Lower heat to 350° and
