day evening at the church for
their 71st birthday party when
the societies- of the Goshen and
Brucefield churches were their
guests. Mrs. Stewart Pepper
was hostess and Mrs. Ernest
Whitehoue, .co -hostess..
The president Mrs. Einnxerson
Anderson, chaired the meeting
and Mrs. Harold Sones was at
the .organ. The devotional per -
led was .taken by Mrs. .John
Anderson. A piano duet by Mrs.
Wallace Mel3eath and Mrs. Geo,
Henderson was enjoyed and a
solo was given by Mrs. Elmer
Keyes in memory of her moth-
er, Mrs. Geo. E. Thompson, a
valuable life member of Kipppen
W.M.S.
Mrs. Robe. D, Elgie intro•
duced the guest speaker, Mrs.
J. E. Whiting, home on furlough
from Hazelton, B.C. Mrs, Whit-
ing illustrated her talk with
coloured slides, some of them

home of their leader, Mrs. .Ken-
neth Bern, .after .school at 4.30.
There were 1.7 members and two
leaders present. Discussion was
"Wool and wool fabrics.'
Officers elected were; presi-
dent, Mary :Skinner; vice-presi-
dent, Grace Johns; Secretary,
Doris Brock; ipress. .reporter,
Shirley Jaques.
The second meeting of the club
Was held last
Friday afternoon, ,
at 4:30, at the home of the co-
leader, Mrs. ]Harold Bell, with
17 members and two leaders
present, .
Discussion was the different
weaves and choosing the wool for
their skirts. At the: next sheeting
the roll calf will be a sample of
Woollen material and giving rea-
sons why it is wool.

A successful bazaar, .sponsored
by the Ladies' Aid and Marian
Ritchie Auxiliary, was held in
the school room of the church
on Wednesday afternoon. A fine
array of fancy work and aprons
was on display as well as a
plentiful supply of baking, all of
which was quickly sold. Pro-
ceeds of tea and. sales amounted
to around $205.
Miss Alice Sorsdahi presided
at the Y.P.S. meeting on Sunday
evening. Miss Ruth Howe read
a passage' of Scripture, and the
topic was given by Miss Ina
Scott.
