Mrs. A. Ashworth Parade Ends
Dies In Hospital Bible School
Mrs. A. H. Ashworth, 73, wife
of ;Mr. A. H. Ashworth of Ilder-
ton and sister-in-law of Mr. D.
A. Ashworth of Lucan, died in
St. Joseph's Hospital Saturday,
August 10.
Rev. A. H. Harrison being on
vacation the Rev.. J, P. Prest of
Holy Trinity Church, Lucan con-
ducted funeral services from the
T. Stephenson and Son funeral
home, Ailsa Craig on Tuesday.
Interment was. in Birr Anglican
cemetery.
Mrs. Ashworth, who was the
former Ida Hall, is survived by
her husband and three sons,
Arthur of Denfield, Jack of Fort
William and Douglas of London.

-Dies After illness
After a lengthy illness, Mrs.
Casper Howard, 76, passed away
at her home on Frank St., Lucan,
Thursday, August 15. She lay at
rest in the Murdy funeral home
till '2 p.m. Saturday, when the
Rev. J. P. Prest, of Holy Trinity
Church, conducted funeral serv-
ices. Interment was in St. Jamets
Cemetery, Clandeboye.
Pallbearers were Df.' Walter
Rice. Fred Marchant, Carl Isaac,
Orville McGillicuddy, Chester
Bannister and Cliff Culbert.
Mrs. Howard, the former Cora
Culbert, was. the daughter of
Jos ;'i and Elizabeth Culbert,
and was born on Con. 2, Bid-
dulph. She was a member of
Holy Trinity Church, the Wom-
an's Auxiliary, and was at one
time president of the Women's
Institute. -
Besides her' husband, she is
survived by three sisters, Mrs.
Loretta Isaac and Mr. Jennie
McGillicuddy. of Forest, and Mrs.
Bertha Myers, of Hamilton, and
one brother, Chester Culbert, of
Calgary.

Dies In Biddulph
Mrs. 'Jean Egan, 78, widow of
the late Patrick Egan, died on
Wednesday,.. August 14, at the
residence of her son, Mr. Harold
Egan, Con, 8, Biddulph. She lay
at rest till 9.30 a.m. Saturday in
the C. Haskett and Son funeral
home, Lucan, and then to St,
Christopher's Church, Forest,
where Father, ' Smith sang
Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. Inter-
ment was in Beechwood Ceme-
tery. The pallbearers were Pat
Toohey, Jim: Dewar and D. Allen,
of Biddulph, and three Forest
friends..
Mrs. Egan was the ,former
Jean Forbes, and lived formerly,
in Bosanquet Township.
