weeks. They took in the.Calgary
Stampede and went to the coast,

away two weeks going by way

Archie Z. Hicks
Dies In Calgary
Archie Z. Hicks, 86, a former
resident of this community, died
lin Calgary hospital on Thursday,
August 8.
As a young man he was clerk
with J. G. Jones at the Winchel-
sea store for a short time and
left for the West in the interests
of his health. He was a mer-
chant at Olds and at Qkotoks,
Alberta retiring to Calgary to
make his home with his son,
'Clayton, .
His wife predeceased hirfi 16
years ago. He is survived by one
son, Clayton, Calgary, t w o
daughters, Mrs. Douglas Tran -
ter (Eileen) Calgary and Mrs.
William McKay (Marjorie) Ed,
mouton; two sisters, Mrs, Eva
Peters and Mrs. John Leary,
Mitchell, Mrs, Lillian Blair, Exe-
ter, Mrs. Melvin Tong, Stephen
Township, Mrs. J. M. Southcott
and Mr. Hedley May are nieces
