When the descendants of the late Mr. `and Mrs. Eleazer Williams met to enjoy a sociable afternoon to- gether. Mr. and Mrs. Williams were of the U.E.L. stock and moved. to Usborne Township about 1874 when they settled on the farm now owned by Mr, Ken Johns. Mrs. Edna Fox of Victoria B.G. youngest and only living member of their large family was guest of honor at the gather - i; fng. fMrs. Benson Williams, a sis- ter-inaaw, was the oldest per- son of the 52 attending .and Ro- bin Dickey the youngest. Members of the clan were pre- sent from Victoria, B.C., SL Tho- mas, London, Kitchener, Lista- wel, Ingersoll, Birr, Angus, Pres- ton, Woodham, Exeter and Win- chelsea. Mrs. Benson Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Horne and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Ford, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dickey and family and Mrs. Harry Ford attended from this vicinity. Mr. Harvey McLaglan of Mit- chell was appointed president for next year, Rollie Williams, vice- pres,; Mrs. Harry Ford, secretary - treasurer; M e s s r s. Freeman Horne, Bob Miller and Ronald Spry, entertainment com- mittee. The reunion will be held in Mitchell Park on the first Sunday in August in 1958. The supervisors were Nancy Boyle and Judy Ross. Eleanor Heywood crowned Bob- by Taylor and Angela Webster as Queens while Pat Cann and Robin Smith made Jill. Harness and Paul Brintnell sovereigns. The King and Queen. from Kin Playground was Johnnie Wein and Elizabeth Mickle. Supervis- ors were Robin Smith and El- eanor Heywood. This week is Olympic Week. On Friday there will be a big track meet at the High School. Ten years later, he purchased the plumbing, heating, wiring and repair business from Mr, Hess, and he has operated the business from the Hess build lel until now, Jerald likes the .designing end of his business, and he does all that work himself for his cus- tomers. His largest planning job was the new showroom and workshop which he is opening this wcexend.• Every detail of the building and its services Was worked out by him, Gerald has an equally ener- getic wife, the former Pearl Beatrice Dochn, of Kitchener, whom he married in 1948. Mrs. Gingerich took a business course at Kitchener -Waterloo Collegiate, and her training there has en- abled her to help her husband with the accounting end of the business, of which she is in charge. The Gingerichs have ttvo chit- dren, Gary Wayne, seven, and Carol Dianne, four, Despite his hard work, Gerald finds time to be active in his church, Zurich Mennonite. He served as,„Sunday school super- intendent for a number of years and is chairman of the church council and trustee board. For recreation, Gerald likes fishing.
