It is being held to com- memorate the centenary of 'the birth, of Lard Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout movement. Margaret is one of 400 girls attending from Canada and One of two from the Huron -Perth di- vision. Carol Brown. of Strat- ;lord, is the .other Guide chosen to :attend. The girls went from here to Toronto where they were joined by other girl guides and pro- ceeded bytrain to Emsdale. They continued by bus to. Doe Lake, 165 miles north of Toron- to:They will spend ten days with 1,500 other guides from 28. countries. The girls were selected by Ca- nadian Guide headquarters and G 1 r r u ale dam the qualifications required areI enacting. In addition togood health and.good standing. zn Guiding, they znustehave had 4 least three weeks experience in a Girl Guide camp and be fa- miliar with 411 phases of can1P °life• Both of the Guides of this. division were also required to, at- tend in November a week, .end camp. at Camp Keewaydin, the Girl Guide .camp north of Gode- rich.
