Rally Falls Short Exeter Legion Bantams;came out on the short end of a 19-16 ball game in Exeter Saturday afternoon as an eight -run rally in the last inning fell three short of the Sebringville total, Sebringville /held, a narrow 4-3 lead going into the fourth inning when a number of costly errors by the locals enabled the visitors to score seven runs and take a commanding 11-3 lead. The winners used Bob Smith and Fred Komps on the mound, with Komps taking over after an eight -run outbreak. Dean McKnight, who tripled in the sixth, was tagged with the loss, and had to be relieved by Ron Heywood in the seventh. Second baseman Jack Stephan came up with a three -run homer in the final frame but had to slide at the plate to make it a circuit stout. In doing so, the youngster twisted his ankle and will be lost to the team indefin- itely. . Lester Heywood clouted the second four -bagger of the after- noon for the locals, while Gordie Strang, Jim Jones, Bev Irwin, Bob Jones and Frank Boyle each hit safely once.
