JOSEPH WOODALL. Mission Band Picnic The United Church Mission Band picnic was held on the church lawn with an attendance of thirty. Doreen Kenny and Kath- leen Buxton provided a good line-up of sports after which, lunch was served followed b'y' a ball game. Crediton Classy Lassys The Crediton 4-H Club, the "Classy Lassys" held its meet- ing in the Crediton Community Centre with 14 present. Eileen Morrissey has replated. Sharon Gaiser as secretary. Topic. was taken by the lead- ers' after which the girls drove to King's farm for a thinning and transplanting lesson. The girls were then shown the art of cooking green leafy veg- etables, by cooking spinach. The next meeting will be held July 24 at 2 p.m. Personal Items Miss Harriet Bowen of London who was taken ill while visiting her sister,'Mrs. C. Green in Cred- iton, is a patient in South Huron' Hospital. Mrs. Francis, Clark has been confined to South Huron Hospital for the past week. The picnic will be held in Lions Park, Seaforth next year and $5.00 was donated, to Exeter Boy Scouts for the Park.
