NORMAN LONG Mrs. Gilbert C. Cobb Mr, Wilfred Mellis received word last week from his sister, Mrs. Ed. Cudmore of Vancouver of the death .on May, 24 of a former Kippen lady, Mrs. Gil- bert C. Cobb, aged 77 years. Mrs. Cobb would' be well -re- membered here as she was the daughter of a former Kippen pastor, Rev. Samuel Atcheson of Winnipeg. She is survived by her. hus- band, Gilbert C, Cobb of Van- couver, and a brother. Samuel, also two children, Mrs. J. Andrew Boa, minister of Empress Avenue United Church, London, and a former Hensall boy, was guest minister for the day, For his morning subject he spoke on "Successful Living," and his evening sermon theme was "Life's Greatest Commit- ment." Mrs. Carl art Pa ne was Y soloist at the morning service and soloist at the evening service was Mr. Clifford Beynon, of Ingersoll, Master Gwyn Beynon, 12 years old, who has won several firsts and scholarships at various music festivals, contributed two trumpet solos.
