A varied program of tested at-
tractions will feature .Hensall
.S,pring Fair and Irnplexnent Show
next Friday afternoon,
The attraetlons which have
made this exhibition so popular
in the ,past the feeder calf club,
baby show, :school parade and
livestock competitions. -- are be-
ing offered again by South Huron
Agricultural Society, sponsors of
the fair.

six municipalities will be compel.

The show will start at 1 a'cieck
with a school Parade .down the
main street to the fair grounds.
Besides prizes for the best
schools in the parade. the society
is providing individual prizes . of
$5.(4..each for the best 'boy and
girl in the procession..
The society expects the trum-
pet band from. RCAF Station,
Centralia, to lead the parade.
The - fair will be officially
opened this year by Douglas
Mises, Huron's :new agricultural
representative, Having had sev-
eral months to view farm opera -
lions in Huron, Mr. Miles will be
expected to give Some enlighten-
ing comnients.on how this county
compares with others he has
worked in.
Shortly after the opening comes
the popular baby show which
attracts many mothers from the
district. This contest, which is
sponsored by Middleton's Drug

the Hensall fair.. Because the •
event,comes early and the owners.
are anxious to test their horses
in .competition, the Hensall show
always attracts a big entry,
Prizes total nearly $1,000.
The cattle show will feature
three purebred beef classes
Angus, Shorthorns .and Herefords
in addition to market cattle
and a Holstein section,
Society •officials hope the
grounds will be well covered with
farm machinery or the new int -

year, The society expects to

where farmers will have the
opportunity to compare all makes
at once,

such opportunity is given farmers
in .this area in the spring, when
it's needed the most.
Mr. Dick said Carter's Midway
will be set up on the grounds to
entertain the children.

of the public speaking competi-

Legion at Clinton on Saturday.
Bill is a grade 12 student at
