Gram Says:
Gremlins
Again!
By MARJORIE STEINER
Somewhere between Gram' and
our readers, the gremlins got in-
to our recipe for cream puffs
last week and they really made
the pastry pretty briny by chang-
ing the butter to salt. The T -A
goes to our son and daughter in
Gary where we spent Easter.
Imagine when Betty read the
receipe she said to herself "The
trip must have been too much
for Gram."
So we'll repeat just the first
part of th recipe.
Cream Puffs
(Mrs. V. Buccicone, Gary)
1 cup water .
1/2 tsp. salt
6 Tbsps. butter
1 cup all purpose flour
1 scant cup whole eggs.
Cook water, salt and butter at
full boil till butter is melted.
Add flour and stir over low heat
till mixture forms smooth mass
and leaves sides of pan. Remove
'from heat and •add eggs grad-
ually beating mixture for 5 min-
utes, Chill in frig I/2 hour be-
fore baking in '420° oven for 20
minutes. Reduce heat to 325°
and bake 20 minutes longer.
Turn heat off and leave for few
minutes longer.
