observed, in the United Church
on Sunday morning. Rev. C. D.
Daniel delivered an inspiring
Easter message. Mrs. Carl Payne
rendered a solo "When It's Eas-
ter morning," and the choir ren-
dered an appropriate anthem.

S. G. Ronnie. Preparatory ser-
vice will be observed this coming
Friday and Holy communion
administered on Sunday at the
morning service.

Shower Couple
On Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs, Glenn Bell, who
reside one mile east of Hensall,
were pleasantly surprised on Sa-
turday evening when seventy-
five relatives, neighbours and
friends met at their home to
honor them on the occasion of
their twenty-fifth wedding anni-1
versary and to present' them with
a wall mirror, two cups and sau-
cers and other gifts including a
pot of mums with 18 blooms.
The address was read by Cla-
rence Volland, Hensel, and the
presentation made `by Mrs. Wes
Venner, Hensall. The family pre-
sented thefn with a silver cream
and sugar on a tray
Progressive euchre winners
were: Mrs. Ross Richardson and
Wilbert Dilling.

Forty Easter boxes were de-
livered this week to sick and
shut in members of Hensel]. Uni-
ted Church. In charge of the pro-
ject were Mrs. W. R. Dougall,
Mrs: Lorne Chapman, Mrs. Stan-
ley Ivjitchell, .Mrs, William For-
rest and Mrs. George Thompson.
The Parks Board at their meet-
ing on Wednesday evening dis-
closed that the Hensall Arena
have completed their auditorium
and will have an Oficial open -
Ing Friday April 16th, including.
a dance with music by Desjar-
dines orchestra.
Donates Ire Cancer Fund
Amber Rebekah Lodge No. 349
held their regular meeting on
Wednesday evening with the N.G.
Mrs. S. Rannie, presiding. 'A
donation was voted to the Cana-
dian Cancer Fund and arrange-
ments made to hold a bake and
variety sale in the lower hall on
May 11, It was decided to enter-
tain at a progressive euchre
1party following the regular meet-
ing on May 1, each member to
invite two or more Ituestsb
Golden Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. John Albrecht
of Zurich observed theid golden
anniversary with a family din-
ner at their home and were pre-
sented an occasional chair from
their family, flowers from the
Lutheran Ladies Aid, gifts, con-
gratulatory messages. They were
also at home to their neigh-
bours and friends.
Their wedding was solemnized
in Zurich with Rev. E. Schulki
officiating. The couple have two
daughters, /its. Charles Scotch -
mer, Bayfield; Mrs. Rosebella
Buttler at home; three grand-
daughters and a grandson.
