"DELAYS BREED
DANGERS"
*(Author's name below).-
One of the reasons why
the average life expect-
ancy is increasing each
year is that people now
are wise enough to con-
sult their physician at
the beginning .of an ill-
ness. To delay pr o p e r
treatment can be danger-
ous.
Grandma's home treat-
ments were often help-
ful, but remember how
long a cure took, and
how weak they left you.
Don't handicap your
physician's ability to help
you. Always visit him at
the beginning of an ill-
ness. Delay can be dan-
gerous.

Grey -Bruce -Huron Police Asso-
ciation Bantam a'ournament held
at Wingham as they advanced
right through the 20 -team entry
list into the finals before bowing
out of contention.
playing a Saturday double-
header, the locals eliminated
Lucknow Bantams in an after-
noon game by a 6-4 score but
dropped the final nightcap to a
hustling band of "cocky" young
hockey players from Goderich
7-2.
Defenceman Bev Sims opened
the scoring Of the championship
game at 3:05 of the first period
when he took a drop pass just
inside the blueline from Dale
Turvey and let go with a partial,
ly screened shot that caught the
top left-hand corner of the net to
put Exeter one up,
However, before the period
ended at 19:13 Dave Wilkinson,
of Goderich, pushed a loose puck
in from a goalniouth scramble to
tie up the game.
The Exeter kids missed on sev-
eral good scoring opportunities in
the lattrhalf of the first period
and early second to add to their
total.
Frank Boyle finally capitalized
on a breakaway from the blueline
after taking a clearing pass from
hard-working winger Gordie
Strang.
Although Exeter led 2.1 at this
point,, Ernie Pinder fired Gode-
rich into a 2-2 tie at 10:23 and
from there on the smooth work-
ing lakeport machine literally
ran away, with the game from
that point on.
Bud Robinson, centering the
first line, scored two before th'e
second period ended.
Dave Wilkson was credited
with his second goal of the night
at 42 seconds of the third and
further unanswered Goderich
goals by Ray Jeffrey and Buddy
Yoe salted a decisive 7.2 victory
and the championship away.
The Goderich club was full
value for the win. They produced
plenty of speed to avoid most pf
the ,body checks thrown at them
and had plenty of determination
around the .net.
In 'the roughly -played contest,
Exeter drew ten minors and one
major penalty as against three
