'Fun Night'
Miss Angela Arrnitt of Lott -
don was the guest MC at the
Home and School Fun Night on
Thursday evening. Though intro-
duced by her sister, Mrs. Clar-
ence Haskell, she really needed
no introduction, to a Lucan audi-
ence. •
Before showing her pictures
on Ireland, she held both the
attention of adults and children
with her Irish stories and Irish
wit.
Following the pictures, parents
and other adults, became wall
flowers while the children did
the Grand March, games, and
square (lancing. Music was pro-
vided by Miss Barbara Benn,
Mr. Joe Benn, Mr, Harold Rib -
son and Doh Black, All had a
grand, glorious, uproarious time.
Before refre'shinents were
served the adults were given an
opportunity to square dance. How
they ever heard the calls, is a
mystery, with the children at
the end of the room attempting
to ape their parents. However
nobodyseemed to mind. It was
fun night and everybody had
fun.

Well, folks, the idea of a news-
paper was good while it lasted,
if not practical, Had a whale of,
a staff all lined up and even sus-
pected old Boom -Boom of nosing
around for the job of sports edi-
tor, considering he was around,
parts of the last few days.
However, we neglected finan-
cial arrangements and since we
couldn't print our own money, I
guess we will have to make
peace with ',the Times -Advocate
and carry on in the same old
Way.
Great plans are in the offing
for the Hobby. Fair, Surrounding
towns will be invited to enter ex-
hibits and an amateur show and
dance will be run in connection
with the fair. More detailed in-
formation will be forthcoming.
Carnival Night, coming this
