NATIONAL PRESIDENT VISITS CLUB—National president .of the Association of
Jinsmen Clubs, Iry Cantor, Leamington, was guest, speaker at an inter -club meeting
in Hensall Thursday night which marked the thirty-seventh a n n i v e r s a r y of the
founding of the Canadian organization. A feature of the meeting was the initiation of

To Newlyweds
The town hall was packed to
capacity Friday for a reception
for Mr. and Mrs. Keith . Love
(nee Pat Tuckey). The young
couple were presented with a
well-filled purse of money. Hen-
ry Geyer read the address and
Gordon Coleman presented the
gift. Desjardine orchestra pro-
vided music for the dance. The
affair was arranged .by Glen
Weido and Gordon Coleman.
Personal Items
Mr. and Mrs. William Cann, of
R.R. 1., Hensall, entertained at
their home last Friday evening in
honor of their uncles and aunts.
A fowl dinner with all the trim-
mings was served. Attending the,
affair was Mr. John Passmore,
of Hensall. A recreational period
of cards rounded out an enjoy-
able evening.
Mr, and Mrs. Ernest Pym spent
last Friday in Toronto.
Barbara Schwalm, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Schwalm,
has returned from St. Joseph's
Hospital, London, . where she
underwent eye surgery.
The March meeting of the
Hensall Women's Institute will be
held Wednesday, March 13, in the
Legion Hall. Guest speaker will
be W. P, Roberts, secretary -
treasurer of Tuckersmith School
Area, who will speak on "Educa-
tion."
Mr. and Mrs. W. J. McLean, of
Hamilton, and Miss Ruth Mc-
Lean, of Exeter, were guests on.
Sunday last with Mr. John Pass-
more.
Mrs. Stewart McQueen, who
underwent an operation at Scott
Memorial Hospital, Seaforth, has
returned home. •

successful bake sale on Saturday
afternoon which was held at
Drysdale's hardware.

Flt,/Lt. McLean, chaplain at
R.C.A.F. Station Centralia, was
guest speaker at the dinner meet-
ing of the Hensall Legion held
Monday evening, and gave an
interesting and informative talk
on his work as peace -time "chap-
lain in the R.C.A.F.
The group endorsed a resolu-
tion to have one of the schools
for retarded children located in
this area.
An invitation was accepted to
be guests of the Legion Ladies
Auxiliary at a turkey banquet to
be held Wednesday, March 27.
President S. G. Rannie chaired
the meeting, and the Ladies
Auxiliary catered for the dinner.

son, of Detroit, were week -end
visitors with the former's
mother, Mrs. Lou Simpson,
Mr. and Mrs. Keith •Lindsay,
of Thamesville, visited over the
week -end with the latter's par-
