Congregational Meeting
A good representation of the
congregation • enjoyed a pot luck
supper provided by the ladies
in the church basement on Wed-
nesday - evening.
Rev, W'. J. Moores acted, as
chairman and conducted a short
worship period,
Reports of almost every 'de-
partment showed a favorable
balance and more money raised
than last year. A new heating
system has been installed as
well as new lights in the base-
ment and a new kitchen.
Most of the officers whose
term expired were reelected.
A new Christian Education
committee was appointed to con-
sist of superintendent, of Sunday
School, presidents of W.M.S. and
W.A. and the minister.
Kenneth Johns, Fred Walters
and Mrs. Freeman Horn were
appointed a committee to make
enquiries about a new wan.
A fund was started which' met
with a good response and a good
portion was subscribed before
the meeting adjourned.
Euchre Club
Elimville Euchre Club was
held on Friday evening with
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Johns as
hosts. There were nine tables
playing.
Winners were ladies' high,
Mrs. Harold Bell; gents' high,
Mr. Alvin Cooper and consola-
tion, Mr. Donald Parsons, •
