quartet,• skipped by A. C. Huber,
swept its way to its second
consecutive Hensall bonspiel
ehampiOnship o.n Wednesday
night in Hensall by defeating
the Henderson rink of Hensall
12-7• in the final game to make
a clean sweep of all three
games.
By virtue of their three-win
plus 25 record, the rink captur-
ed the Carling Trophy, emblema-
tic for curling supremacy in
Hensel, for the second year.
The winning team consisted
of R. DeLong, lead; J. Martini,
second, M. Doran, .vice skip
and A. C, Huber, skip.
In.. the first draw, the Caro-
thers rink from Thedford won
first prize by posting a three-
win, plus 10 total while the Fin-
line rink from R.C,A.F. Centra-
lia took •second class honouri
on a 2-win plus 2.

competing for the first time

son, walked off with smartly de-

as their prizes.
They recorded their pair of
victories over the Lane rink front
Seaforth and the Hockey rink
from Exeter.
The highest score in the tour-
nament, which consisted o f
three ten-end games, came from
the Acheson group when they
defeated their rivals form Exe-
ter by a 19-6 score,
George Hess of Melina was
the official umpire in charge of
play.

MOHAWKS BEHIND EIGHT BALL AGAIN—Eater" Mohawks suffered two costly
losses this .week to Strathroy and Woodstock after enjoying a sensation seven-game
win streak which brought them up from cellar spot to contention for the fourth play-
