three men, together with 124 passengers,

GREAT BATTLE IN INDIA.
A great battle occurred on the right
bank of the River Chelum, bet ween the Ar-
my of the Punjaub under Lord Gough, and
the Sikh forces, under Rajah Sing. A
Straggle in which the Britishave to de-
plore the lose of 96 officers, and 2,500 men
killed and wounded ; four guns captured
and four or five regimental colours taken by
