Ing effect upon the cattle market in more than
one direction, Owing to trio fact that pastures
are practically nomexistent in a large port of
Ontario, there is no present demand for feed-

on them, are Sending In a 10t of half -finished

Why is it that Goderich is not favor-
ed with more good shows? For a con-
siderable time there has been very fe•w
attractions of any kind for opera
patrons, and the remark is frequently
heard that Goderich is too big a place
to be neglected in thia way.
The largest whitefish on record wee
brought into the fish house in Mar-
ton the other day. The fish dressed
weighed lin pounds, girthed two feet,
and measured three feet one inch in
length. As It came out of the water
it would have weighed fully 30 pounds.
Many from Goderich attended Myth
show on Wednesday, and report the
attendance smaller than usual. The
exhibits In Home depaitments and the
speeding tests werfi Robert
King wits awarded the red ticket for
ble colt. The Mrd Regiment Band
never played better, and their music
wag much appreciated by those in
attendance.
On Wednesday the 1.2,1 train was

have occurred to any person, but, the
accident is all the more unfortunate+
from the fact, that the plate Is one of
the largest in town.
