dispatch of Tuesday lrust said: "The
Western membees of the Sons of Eng-

from neighboring towns, make a
week's attractions not often seen in 'a
town this size. And there was room

condition of deceased clearly proved
that death was caused by heart
trouble, and the verdict was death
from Hatilcal CaUfles. The deceased,
who had suffered from the disease for
a long period, was incapacitated from
hard work by a sunstroke some 25
years since, which practically paraly-
ized his right side, withering his right
men and making the right half of his
person useless, The remains were in-
terred in the Maitland cemetery on
Friday afternoon from the residence
of his aunt,, Mrs. Murray, Bruce St.,
Rev. Wm. Stoddart being the all&

from Rev. Donald MacGillivray
a missionary in China, (formerly of
GoderichO detailing his marvellous es-
ca.pe from drowning. Mr. MacGillivray
had been visiting at Mekonsan with a
Mr. Law, and they were returning in
their native houseboat, when they
were struck hy a squall and capsized.
Mr. Law Wan drowned, hut Mr. Mc-
Gillivray, who happened to be in the
