a message from their daughter, Mrs.
B. F. Shaw. Oakland, Cal., stating
that the family were safe from the
terrible catastrophe which overtook
San Francisco. .A. letter yesterday
gives fuller details, and says the house
chittneys toppled over, the plaster on
the walls came down and ereashed
bric-a-brac and many other articles,
and the family have moved to Reno,
several hundred miles distant. Mr.
Shaw's mother and father were living
in San Francisco and lost everything
