ing two able sermono. In the romp-
ing his subient WAS that of "Miesiona,"
and in the evening " Giving all to the
lord." The Rev. Canon In hio morn-
ing discourse pointed out the ditty of
churchmen to support misgionn, and
ohovved the necessity of more free
giving at the present day. In the
evening the pi pitcher spoke on giving
up all and following the Lord, which,
mild he, wan not an unreasonable ser-
vice. Mr. Craig pointed 001 that the
bride gave up her parent@ to follow
her henhand to the uttermont perm of
the earth ; that the soldier gave up
parents, wife and ebildren to go to
war for his country, and that minsion-
erten often gave up the pleanuren of
civilization to go to foreign lando
where a whito face wan never neon.
The sermon appealed strongly to
churchmen to follow the Lord, and to
see that mieolons were not left to de-
cay for want of necessary support.

On Tuesday evening the f3rItish and
the Bedford teatum played hockey, for
the championship, the result being an
easy win for the Bedford. Among
the teams were good players and
others not 80 good, but all (lid their
level best for their sides. The gatne
wan an amusing one for the audience,
and it may saki that It was not the
hest players that amused them. From
start to finish there were exciting
rushes and great combination work,
and had it not been for the Bedford
goal keeper, the British would have
tnade more_goals than they did. Mine
host of the British witnessed theganle,
his haat year'n fall putting hind Mk of
the play, and it was wild hut for his
absence the game might hove bad a
different ending.

and a team of young ladies. The
weaker sex were the stronger skaters,
and ran away from their opponents in
a manner that won tho admiration of
the lookers on. The game ended In
favor of the ladies, and they certainly
deserved the Wi 11.
