The spring crops, so far, look re- markably well. We understand that the hunters of this vicinity are planting a much greater quantity of Indian Corn this year than they have done since the introduction of oatmeal ; this, we believe, is owing principally to the failure of the potato° crop, and is intended to be seed to some extent as &substitute. We hare not as yet learn- ed whether our farmers are planting pota- toes un a small or large scale this year ; how•eveer, it might be as well to have enough in, even if they sbonld fait Taking the appearance of the crops on the whole, there is • fair prospect of a good harvest.
