Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bacon, Walter and George, attended the Royal Win­ ter Fair at Toronto on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hanna spent. Sunday in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley McLelland, of London, visited a few days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Holmes. Mr. Lome Campbell, Chesley, spent, the week-end with «his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Floyd Campbell. W/M.S. and W.A, The W.M.S. and W.A. met on Tues­ day afternoon at the home of Mrs. Gordon Naylor. There were eleven members and seven children present, Mrs. Tom Armstrong was in charge of tho meeting and was assisted in the devotional exercises by Mrs. N. Thompson and Mrs. H. Jefferson. Mrs. Sam Thompson read the chapter in the study book and Mrs. Wm. Hardy gave a report of the sectional meeting' held at Holmesville. The minutes of the last, meeting were approved as read and the treas­ urer’s report given. Cards of thanks were received from Mrs. J. R. Thomp­ son and Mrs. R. Chamney. The December meeting will be held one week earlier, December 6, at the home of Mrs. Mark Armstrong. Mem­ bers are asked to bring their mite boxes to this meeting. Lunch was served by the hostess assisted by Mrs. Wm. Hardy and Mrs. R. Chamney. Baptismal Service During the church service on Sun­ day morning a baptismal service was held for Susan Elizabeth, daughter’of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Thompson, and Barbara ^Anne, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Stuart Chamney. Personals Mr. Wes Jefferson returned from the West last week. Mr. Stuart Chamney spent a day'at the Royal Winter Fair. .Miss Grace Thompson, of Simcoe, was home for the Remembrance Day; week-end. Mr. and Mrs. R. Chamney were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Sandy, Lucknow. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thompson have purchased a home on Diagonal Road in Wingham, and intend moving there in the near future. On Tuesday evening, November the Evening Auxiliary mot at the United Church to worship as a group at the Crusade for Christ service and to hear Rev. Leighton Ford, deliver one of his inspirational sermons. At the conclusion of the service the Auxiliary gathered at the home of Mrs. A. B. Adams to discuss the business of the evening, Mrs. Emerson Shera, who was in charge, opened the business part of the meeting with the singing of "Rise up, Oh Men of God” after which she led in prayer. Mrs. G. W. Tiffin made a few com­ ments on the meetings held for the young people after the Monday night services of the Crusade, and remarked about the' wonderful influence these meetings had had on the young people in winning them to Christ and open­ ing their hearts and minds to greater spiritual living. She reminded the members of the things they, as Christians, are supposed to believe in When they join the church by having them repeat the Apostles’ Creed. She then offered a prayer. . .The meeting was brought to a close by singing "JesuswCalls Us Tumult’’ and repeating the benediction in unison. Lunch was served and a social 16, White chrysanthemums and decorated St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kitchener, on Sat­ urday, November 12th, for the wed­ ding of Florence Lillian Schneider, Kitchener, daughter of Mrs. Adela Schneider and the late Emil Schnei­der, of Kitchener, and Kenneth Max Hambly, of Kitchener, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hambly, of Fordwlch. Rev. Albert Lotz performed the marriage ceremony, and .Miss Audrey Miglarini sang to the accompaniment of Mrs. Meda Gunn at the organ. Given in marriage by Mr. Albert Kozlowski, of Kitchener, the bride wore a floor-length hooped gown of antique white crystalette over taffeta. It featured a standup collar and lily­ point sleeves. Her skirt was gored from a lowered waist and a caplet of net flowers centred with pearls held her fingertip French illusion veil. Sprigs of white heather, brought from England by the parents of the bride­ groom, were caught in her headdress. She carried a white Bible, topped with a white orchid and white roses, with stephanotis tied into lovers’ knots in the streamer^. Mrs. Ayrton Kipp, was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Betty .Gies and Miss Irene Drews, all of Kitchener. Miss Janie Hambly, of Fordvzich. sister of the groom, was junior bridesmaid. They were gowned alike in waltz-length crinolined gowns of blue crystdlette over taffeta with scooped necklines, elbow-length cuffed sleeves and flared skirts. They wore shoes to match and carried white fur muffs which featured corsages of blue pompons and white plumes. White gloves and white fur head bands com­pleted their ensembles. Mr. Ray Adams, of Toionto, was groomsman, and ushers were Mr. Ver­non Hambly, of Guelph, and Mr. Weldon Hambly, of Toronto, brothers of the groom. Following the marriage ceremony a reception was held in the Berkeley Room, Berkeley Square. The mother of the bride received guests'in a blue­ gray corded dress, studded with rhinestones, with navy accessories and a corsage of crimson Sweetheart roses and white velvet leaves. The groom’s mother assisted in a silver-gray bro­ caded satin dress with black and white accessories and a brown mink furpiece. For travelling the bride chose a charcoal wool suit with a tailored jacket, a small hat-of avocado brushed felt and avocado accessories. She wore a corsage of white orchids. After a wedding trip to the Mid­ western United States the couple will live in Kitchener. pleasant time was enjoyed.
