The game was quite close with Fergus always leading about one run. At the end of the game the score read, Fergus 10, Wingham 6. The wingham senior girls are to play off with Brussels, Mt, Forest, Goderich, Fergus, Clifford and Fink- | erton, Each team plays two with all other teams, one on homo ground and the other away from town. These games are well worth seeing and the next game that Wingham plays will be with Pinkerton at Wing­ ham, July 19th. Then the Wingham girls will travel to Clifford for the return game with the Swing Skirts. Wingham has already beaten these Clifford girls, and support from Wingham fans at this game would be appreciated, by the local team. ....... A shower and dance was held in the community hall on Friday evening to honor Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gamble (formerly Audrey Mann.) A purse of money was presented by Bill Robert­ son and an address read by Miss Bessie Campbell. Miss Isabel Speir,- of Brussels, who has been teaching in Bluevale School, is holidaying in the British Isles, Hol­ land, Germany and France.
