Twenty tables played euchre in the
Memorial Hall on Monday evening,
with the Langside group of the Wo
men’s Institute in charge. Ruby Conn
and Fred Tiffin held high points and
Mrs. J. G. Gillespie and Chas. Tiffin
held low points. Mrs. Elmer Wall and
Ewart McPherson won for lone hands.
Tiffin’s orchestra provided music for
dancing. Lunch was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Murray and
children, of Toronto, are visiting with
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Tiffin and other
Langside friends this week.

The congregation of Brick United
Church held their annual Christmas
concert on Tuesday last with the
children giving their readings and
riiusical numbers around a campfire.
The Christmas Story was presented
ih pantomine, and the young people
gave a splendid play "A Smile a Min-
Ute.” rSanta came , to distribute , the
gifts from the loaded tree. Lunch was
served and all enjoyed the social' time
together. 1
i A quiet ^wedding was solemnized on
Wednesday last at - 2.30 p.m. at the
home of Mrs. W. Dow, when Rev. C.
D. Cox, united in marriage, Eva Mil
dred, younger daughter of Mrs. Eccles
Dow of East Wawanosh, and the late
Wellington Dow, and Jasper John
Snell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Snell, of Westfield. Miss Ada Dow
and Mr. Ernest Snell, were the at
tendants. The wedding dinner was
served to the immediate relatives at
the home of the bride’s mother. Their
many friends in this district extend
best wishes for a long and happy
wedded life.
