It is be cause the exams have been in full swing, and each and every student was trying to cram one more thing Into his ompact brain for his exam. However, that is enough of the dull side of school life., The students are now seeing the same, expression on the faces of those teachers who went around with smug looks during the exams. The students give their best wishes to these teachers and hope that they will struggle just as the students had to before and during exams. Another hope that draws a gleam of light from the desolate eyes of the poor students is that next term they will be writing their next set of exams in that beautiful new school which is now nearing completion. In the new school the students will be able to enjoy beautiful country scen ery when they are through with their exams. Although there are times that school really gets you down and you feel like giving up the fight there are always holidays throughout the year, for rest and relaxation. The W.D.H.S. students and staff will soon be pull ing their oars out to sea for Christ mas holidays. If you as a student have done poprly on your Christmas exams this holiday would be an op-? portune time for you to do some re viewing for next term. Now that the storm (exams) is over the. athletic-minded students will be devoting their time to basketball. The basketball, season starts in January, but it takes steady practice to your joints in preparation. On the bulletin board ip He.ard’s room are some very cartoons. Congratulations to for ‘As t Christinas! loosen ' ■6r> 5” We Deliver REMINGTON’S We Deliver KIDNEY ACIDS Rob your Rest.. After all papers are returned and the marks checked, a report will be taken home to the parents to in form them of the progress of their boy or girl, So you see it takes about three weeks before exams are totally over, Donalda MacDonald 0-0-0 Special Commercial You may be won.dering why the Special Commercial students of the W.D.H.S. have been bustling about gathering armloads" of' newspapers; The fact is that we are scanning the papers for items of interest in our economic world, Each pupil has set up a file of the clippings she has gathered. Looking over these files you would find divisions headed by banking, investments, personality, production, etc. We found the report concerning two of Canada’s banks, the Dominion Bank and the Bank of Toronto, very interesting for our banking section, and the announcement of. the bonds also formed an important of our investment section. Our sonality file is very interesting the "Manners Makes Friends’’ articles you may read in the papers daily are of use to us here, as well as articles pn good grooming, clothing, etc. In our recent examination in Ec onomics, we had to answer such ques tions as: "What is an investment bank? What is a stock exchange? Ex plain lambs, bulls and bears, in refer ence to-the stock market. Who recent ly resigned from being head of the Bank of Canada? What two chartered banks have arranged to join, to make a larger and more-powerful bank?” At the present time, Allen Nicol, of XIB is unpacking a new typewriter which we all anticipate using. All in all, our class has a very busy schedule and should know of the year. No Christmas is complete wihout this tempt ing holiday treat. ORDER YOURS TODAY!
