Coultes Word has been received by Belgrave relatives of the death of Charles Hed­ ley Coultes, of Mount Hermon, Cali­ fornia, in his ninety-first year, Mr. Coultes was born on concession ‘six, Bast Wawanosh. For many years he was a gospel singer and Bible teacher, He is survived by his wife and one Step-son. Charles and Albert Coultes Of Belgrave, are nephews of the de­ ceased. Mr, and Mrs. Cecil Armstrong, Reta and Kenneth, Thorndale, spent the Week-end with Mr. Dave Armstrong. Mr. and Mrs. Goldie Wheeler and family, of London, spent the week­ end with Mr, and Mrs. Herb Wheeler. Mr. Jack Dalgarno, of . Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Wightman and Mrs. James Walsh spent Thursday in London.The Women’s Association of Knox United Church held their annual ba­ zaar and afternoon tea on Friday, November 26th, in the basement of the church. A large crowd was in attendance to purchase from the large display of handiwork, produce and baiting, and also to enjoy an afternoon lunch and tea. Proceeds from thez bazaar and tea amounted tp approximately WL50- Club 20 Club 20 met^at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse on Wednesday evening, November 24. The evening was spent playing progressive euchre, with high prizes being won by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Vincent and con­ solation prizes went to George Martin and Mrs, Kenneth Wheeler, A lunch was served, The regular progressive euchre party was held in the Community Centre, on Wednesday evening, Nov­ ember 24. Perdue, BELGRAVE Sunshine Forum The Sunshine Farm Forum met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wilkinson, Monday evening, Novem­ ber 22. After the. usual forum discus­ sion, George Michie spoke a few words to Mr. and Mrs. L. Rooney and Elmer Young and Gordon Wilkinson presented them with an electric kettle lamp and a bed lamp. Mr. Rooney gave a fitting reply. Mr. and Mrs, Rooney were recently married. Ploughing Bee Ten neighbours with their tractors staged a ploughing bee at the farm of Elmer Young one afternoon last week. They ploughed 28 acres during the. afternoon. Mr. Young had been ill and in hospital this fall and was unable to get his fall work completed. To Present Concert The pupils of the Belgrave school under the direction of their teachers, Mrs, Clifton Walsh and Miss' Mildred Higgins, will present their annual Christmas concert in the Foresters’ Hall. The concert will be in the form Of the Operetta "Santa Listens In’’, also other numbers from ’both the junior and senior rooms. Mr. Hugh Sinnamon and Miss Olive Harrison, students from the Stratford Teachers' College will be doing practice teaching with Mrs. Clifton Walsh in the senior room at Belgrave school, the week of Decem­ ber 6 to 10.
