He was. 79. Born and educated in St. Helens, Mr, Lott farmed all his life in this district, He was a member of Chalm­ ers Presbyterian Church, White­ church, and was the last of a family of eight. He was married on Septem­ ber 25th, 1901, to Annie Sophia Mac­ Kay, of Kintail,, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Rob­ ert, of Calgary; Wesley, of Simcoe, and Carl, of Wingham, and a daugh­ ter Nettie (Mrs, Orville Newby), of Granton. A son, Fred died in ’ 1945. There are twelve grandchildren. Funeral service was held from Cur­ rie’s funeral home, Wingham, on Tuesday, with Rev. W, S. Sutherland, of West Hill and Rev, Alex Nimmo, of Wingham, officiating. Vice-chairman will be Aimer Powe, of Centralia. Other directors will be Cecil Fal­ coner, of West Wawanosh; Albert Coultes, of East Wawanosh; Howard Wilkinson, of Morris Township; Mel­ vin Dennis, of Grey; Bob McMillan, of McKillop; Walter Scott, of Hullett; Irwin Tebbutt, of Goderich Township; Jack Soldan, of Hay, and William Elford, of Usborne. Floyd Griesbach, of Toronto, secre­ tary of the National Farm Radio Forum, guest speaker, reviewed acti­ vities of farm forums across Canada from PEI to British Columbia, nar­ rating the various uses ,that have been made of Farm Radio Forums in each province and the varying degrees of success. Topics A discussion group on two topics— a project for our Farm Forum and Do We Need Aonther National Farm Organization?—was presided over by Mrs. Greig. The first forums in worthwhile money ’for Huron Christmas Seal Receipts Increase The Huron County Christmas Seal Campaign is ahead of „ last year ip collections, according to Mrs. J, B, Russell, secretary-treasurer. Total receipts to November 29th are $2,226,40, nearly $300 above last year's receipts of $1,946.80 for the same period. G. Bill Conron topic showed that many Huron County have had projects such as raising community halls, seeking improved hydro services and sending Christmas gifts to shut-ins. In regards to another national farm organization, the forums unanimously agreed that one good organization is necessary and that all should put every effort into making it better through their association with the local Federation of Agriculture and Farm Forums. ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING Leland and GE Sale» and Service "Most successful” was the comment by the officers and those attending the annual bazaar of the Ladies’ Guild of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, held in the Parish Room last Wed­ nesday. The event was officially opened by the Rector, the Reverend H. L. Parker who welcomed those present on behalf of the Ladies’ Guild. The decorations in the parish room carried out the Christmas theme with evergreen, wreaths and small, gaily decorated Christmas* trees. The tea­ table was centred with a Santa Claus sleigh filled with small parcels. As the guests entered the room they were greeted by Mrs. W. M. Connell, president of the Ladies’ Guild and Mrs. H. L. Parker, Arranged along one side ' of the room were the counters displaying aprons, candy, bake goods, knitted goods, novelties, table centre-pieces, winter bouquets, handmade aluminum trays, produce at the country store, the "post office”; ivy grown from, slips picked at the “Little Church Around the Corner” in New York City, as well as many other articles and displays. On the far side of the room, the Evening Guild pre­ sented their newly published Tower Cook Books and several displays of attractive Christmas cards. One of the busiest places afternoon was the tea room, many paused to have a cup with their friends. • Mrs. D, B. Porter, treasurer Guild, reports that returns are in­ complete as many orders for articles sold out early’ in the afternoon are still to be filled. He was in his 79th year. Born in Howick Township, Mr. Bast married Freda Felker, who pre­ deceased him two and a half years ago. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in “Kurtzville. Surviving are o'ne son, Harry, of Fordwich, and two sisters, Mary (Mrs. Arthur Wood), of Lynden, and Clara (Mrs. Henry Timm) of New Mexico. Funeral service was held on Wed­ nesday from the Edgar funeral home, Gorrie, to Trinity Lutheran Church, Kurtzvillo. Interment was in Kurtz- ville Cemetery.
