short welcome there,'he will climb
into a specially prepared sleigh for
his triumphal journey down Jose

Diagonal road he» will take up a
position at the five corners, where
every child will have an opportun

what they want for Christmas.
He’ll have his great bag of goodies
with him, and every child who
meets him will receive a bagful.
Children’s letter to Santa, ex?
plaining their Christinas needs, will
be received by the Old Gentleman
at this time.,
FREE SHOW AT LYCEUM
After the meeting with Santa
Claus, children are invited by the
Business Association to a free show
especially for them at the Lyceum
Theatre. There will be cartoons
and short features appealing espec
ially to the kiddies, and Alton
Adams, genial proprietor of« the
Lyceum will see that they’re well
taken care of for at least one half
hour. Two complete shows are
planned for the afternoon to ac=
commodate all the children.
PARENTS’' CHANCE
While the youngsters are confiding
in Santa Claus or enjoying the pic*
ture at the Lyceum, parents will
have an opportunity to do a bit of
pre-Christmas shopping at the
well-stocked stores in Wingham.
And there will be quite an array of
merchandise to choose from, judg-
ing from the indications of the past
few weeks.
This week’s issue of the Advance-
Times contains a large number of
advertisements which comprise a
complete shopping guide to Christ
mas purchases in Wingham.
TWO-FOLD PURPOSE
Santa’s visit to Wingham has been
sponsored by the Business Associa
tion for a two-fold purpose. First
and foremost, the businessmen of
Wingham want to give all the ^chil
dren of the town and district a real
treat. And secondly they want to
prove to the people of the district
that Wingham is the best place to
do their Christmas shopping.
Our local merchants know their
customers and their customers
know from whom they buy. There
is no guess work about the reputa
tion or honesty of the local retail
er. He simply can’t afford to give
you anything less than full value
for your money.
No merchant wants you to spend
more than you plan to, or can af
ford. All of the business mien, how
ever, would like to show yoh their
%wares and invite you to buy your
gifts in Wingham.
