Mrs, Wassman, 84, was born in Log­ an Township and was the former Mar­ garet Stewart, In 1890 she was mar­ ried to Robert F. White and lived in Palmerston and Wingham, and for many years was a resident of Gorrie. Mr. White died in 1927. She was mar­ ried to Mr, Frank Wassman in 1928, and they ran a general store in Born­ holm for several years before retiring to Mitchell in 1945. Resides her husband she is survived * . by a Son, Thomas Milton White, Tot’- Mr®. Harry Ferguson. Douglas Re-union The Douglas re-union was held in Gorrie Bark On Sunday afternoon, when 70 members attended, present were from Kitchener, Water, Clifford and Listowel. They were accompanied by Mrs. A. Hamilton, who has returned after spending a month in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Lome Walker and Edythe and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brown and family, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn Walker, at Cold­ water. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Oldfield and family, of Kitchener, spent Sunday with Mr, and Mrs. Jack Toner. Miss Diane Lennington of Toronto, is a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Wilmer Nuhn. Mrs, Mae Jackson, Mrs. J. Finlay and Sterling spent Sunday with friends at Parkhill. Mr. H, V. Holmes is a Toronto visi­ tor this week. Mr. and Mrs. Manfred Irwin and Mr. and Mrs. Don Irwin left Friday on a motor trip to Brandon, Man. Mrs. Fred Dowdall and Miss Audrey powdall, of Toronto, have been visit­ ing with relatives. Mr. Robt. S. Fullerton, Wal­ kerton, attended the Presbyterian Church service on Sunday and were dinner guests of Mrs. Mabel Stewart. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Grainger, Bruce, Ruth and Bobby, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Grainger, of London. Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Youngblutt and Mr. and Mrs. W. Mountain of Lon- desboro, were recent guests of Dr. and Mrs. L, N. Whitley. Miss Shirley Jacklin, of Brussels, spent several days last week with her grandmother, Mrs. Chas. Kitchen. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Woods and Judy, of Kitchener, are holidaying at the home of Mrs. Wood’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Shera. Frances and Jimmie Edgar, Lis- towel, are spending this week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Gor­ don Edgar at Port Elgin. At time of writing Miss Donna Ton­ er is still confined to the Wingham General Hospital, but she is expected to be permitted to leave shortly. Donna is recovering from virus pneumonia. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Strong on Thursday were Mr. Alvin Arthurs and two daughters, from Ari­ zona, and Mrs. E. Arthurs, of Drew. Mrs. Harry Jennings of Lucknow, and Miss Edna Lawrence of Toronto, have been visiting their mother, Mrs. C. Lawrence. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Horne and sons of Toronto, were recent visitors with Mrs. Horne’s mother, Mrs. Clara Rit­ chie and other relatives. Mrs. Tom Nichol has spent the past week with Mrs. Wilbert Gallaway, who is recovering from an attack of pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs, Jack Ferguson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robt.
