Neighbours Stage
“Seeding Bee”
Qf recent years it has often been),
said that the "old spirit of friendli
ness and acts of neighborliness gwei
things of the past**. This may be true
ip . some localities, but not so in the
rural community surrounding Tee®-
water.
Ample proof that “ a neighbour is a
cherished thing” was found to the
south of town on Tuesday of this
week. With Mrs. William Schieste'l
widowed by the passing of he? hus
band, who was buried Monday, neigh*
bors turned jn and with five tractor®
completed the entire seeding of M.
acres in the day. Neighbor ladies weie
on hand, not only with assistance
but with baking, to feed the men in a
really good old-fashioned gesture of
friendliness and assistance. It was
quite apparent, too, that everyone en
joyed giving of their time and energy*
