Tay­ lor, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Herb, Pettapiece, Mrs. Victor Emerson, who has been teaching at Dundalk, spent the week­ end at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Perrie Pennington and family, Turnberry, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs, Jos, Tiffin, Mrs. R. J. Ross and Bob spent Thursday last with relatives in Strat­ ford. Mr, and Mrs. Russel Gaunt and dau­ ghter, Janet, and Mr, Kenneth Currie, also Miss Leah Currie, Toronto, spent the week-end with their sister, Miss Jean Currie, of Ottawa. Born—In Wingham Hospital, on Tuesday, June 3rd, to Mr. and Mrs. John Rintoul, a daughter. Mr, John Pur don spent two days last -week at Goderich attending the Grand Jury as a juror, The marriage of Miss Margaret Er­ ma McIntyre, elder daughter of Mr, and Mrs, Donald McIntyre, of Lang­ side, and William Edmund Collyer, son of Mrs. Collyer, Lucknow, and the late Jos. Collyer, was solemnized at the manse, Dromore, by Rev. G, M, Young on Saturday, May 31st, On Tuesday night a reception was held at the Langside Hall, when the young couple were presented with a purse of money by a large circle of friends who gathered in their honour. They left on Wednesday for their new home, 563 King St. E., Hamilton, Miss Adeline Ross, of Toronto, spent the week-end at the home of her parents, ,Mr, and Mrs. Mac Ross. Miss Genevieve Watt, of Toronto, spent the week-end here with her sis­ ter, Miss Muriel Watt. Mr. and Mrs, John Richardson, Jim and Bob, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Armstrong, Teeswater. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Waddell and daughter spent Sunday with her par­ ents, Mr. and Mrs, Ralph Caskanette, Langside, Miss Doris McClenaghan, Kincard­ ine, spent the week-end with her par­ ents, Mr, and Mrs. Ben McClenaghan. Mrs, S. Irwin, of Toronto, accom­ panied by her daughter, Mrs. Gordon Allen, New York City, spent the week­ end with (Mrs. W. R, Farrier.
