Cutting Trees
Husband Dies
The many friends of the former
Mrs. C. Meier (mother of Mrs.
E. R. Bridger, Beech St.) were
shocked to hear of her recent
tragedy. On October 22, not two
months ago, she married Mr.
Percival Wisbey of R.R. 2 Lam
beth but did not give up her
London position.
Mr. and Mrs. Wisbey lived on
a small farm near Lambeth.
Last Thursday evening when the
latter came home she found the
house in darkness. On finding
the car in the garage she be
gan looking around and found
her husband dead on the ground
near the barn, where he had
been lying for several hours. It
seems that Mr. Wisbey had been
cutting Christmas trees and died
of a heart attack. He was 60
years of age.
Pot Luck Supper
Holy Trinity Church held their
annual pot luck supper and'Sun
day School concert last Wednes
day night. So great was the turn-
oupt that extra tables had to be
set up. After all had enjoyed a
bountiful ikeal they moved from
the basement to the. Parish Hall
for community singing.
While waiting for the ladies to
finish up downstairs, Rev. J. P.
Prost and Mr. Fl Hovey strip
ped the Christmas tree and all
was excitement. Just then a loud
knock was heard at the door
and In walked Santa Claus. Un
fortunately he had other calls to
make so couldn’t stay long. Then
followed some films on the new
projector before the children’s
program began.
The latter was in charge of
Miss Lina Abbott. Though
program was impromptu,
children all did well.
