Harry Penhale and members of the Boys .and Girls Committee Prizes in the fancy dressjdass John McNaughton, John Snell’ were guests -.of the Lions in the gymnasium of the Exeter Public School Wednesday night. Harry Penhale and. members of the Hoys and Girls Committee were in charge of the program. Prizes in the fancy dress class were awarded to Elizabeth Knox, John McNaughton, John Snell, Susan Dinney, Patty Heywood and Karen Heywood. Awards for the best comic out­ fits went to Ricky and Randy Weber, Bill Dinney, Gary Eord, Jackie and Lindy Coughlin, Joan Tennant and Susan Lindenfield. Best witches were Mary Cor­ bett, Jon Dinney and Shirley Genttner, Indian and cowboy prizes went to Bobby Beaver, Billy Penhale, Larry Idle, Joy Seldon and Mar­ garet May, Linda Hunter-Duvar and Janice Frayne. Best tramp outfits were won by Jimmy Dixon, Neil Hamilton, Paul Sims, Judy Snelgrove, Bet­ ty Dixon and Sheila Bonnallie. Prizes were announced by Mr. E. R. Hopper. Resi­ dents of this village for the past 12 years, they are going to be missed from this community. Goshen Ladies- Serve Supper The Women’s Association „ Goshen United Church, with a membership of thirty, sponsored one of the.. finest fowl suppers ever held in the district on Tues­ day, October 30. As the church is a small one and could not ac­ commodate a large number, only one hundred tickets were sold at $1.50 each. Rev. T. J. Pitt, minister of the church, chaired the program. Rev. C. D. Daniel, of Hensall, was guest speaker and spoke on “Pioneer work of the church, and the responsibilities of the pres­ ent.” Miss Doris Johnson, of Clin­ ton, favoured with selections on the marimba, with Miss Carol Pepper, of near Seaforth, accom­ panying on the piano. Miss Pep­ per also contributed two vocal solos. Mrs. Elgin McKinley .fa­ voured with a reading. Stage Party For Children Children of Hensall and dis­ trict enjoyed a Hallowe’en party in the town hall Wednesday eve­ ning sponsored by the I.O.O.F* and Amber Rebekah lodges, with P. L. McNaughton as master of cerembnies.
