" Dashwood W.L started its fall
season Tuesday, September 2.5,
with a health meeting.
Mothers of young childrert
were guests and Miss Coney?
health nurse, was guest speaker
and showed two films,- “The
Terrible Twos” and “The Trust
ing Threes”, which were follow
ed by discussion.
Mrs. E. KOehler presided for
the program. The roll call, “a cure for the blues”, proved in
teresting. Misses Marie and
Ruth Salmon, accompanied by
Miss Mona Kellerman, favoured
with clarinet and cornet duets.
Mrs. Floyd Wein gave a read
ing.
Mrs. Mervyn Tieman discussed
the motto, “The nation is as
strong as the health of its
people.” A tray for a sick room
was on exhibit.
Mrs. Letta Taylor, second vice- president, presided for the busi
ness.- Mrs. Ken McCrae was
appointed as delegate to "the
convention in London. Mrs, Chas.
Snell, Mrs. Sid Baker, Mrs.
Wallace Wein and Mrs. Ernest
Koehler were appointed leaders
for the Homemaking Club.
Mrs. A. V. Tieman, Mrs. Har
old Rader, Mrs. -Stewart Wolfe
and Mrs. Fioyd Wein were ap
pointed to plan a euchre for
October. The Institute decided
to buy a flag and' harness for
the Dashwood Band.
