After the flowers were placed on the dif­ ferent graves by friends and re­ latives of their, dear departed ones, the Dashwood Band led by Mr. Harry Hoffman opened the service with suitable selections. Mr, Stewart Webb was leader of the service and called on Rey. W. C. Smith to speak a few words of welcome to visitors and friends. Mr. Norman Turn­ bull introduced the speaker. Dr. Godsell and Mr. S. J. Truscott sang a heart-searching duet, and the ladies’ trio, Mrs. Mansell Mason, Mrs. Mae Holt and Mrs. Emery Desjardins sang a suit­ able selection. . Mr. Robert McCubbln, M.P.P. of Strathrpy was the speaker for the occasion, and took as his subject “Reverence”, bringing out special emphasis on rever­ ence each one should have for the Bible, the Church, the Sab­ bath, the home, and his fore­ fathers and their foundation for his heritage, The ceremony ended with more selections by the band, whose special, efforts and inspir­ ing music helped to make the service so suitable, and which were gratefully appreciated by the Board and all in attendance. Plan To Induct New Minister On Thursday evening, June 28, the Rev. A. E. Holley of London will be inducted into the charges of Grand Bend and Greenway United Churches. Miss Joy Jamieson was in charge of the kitchenware dis­ play, Miss Marilyn Ruth Jamie­ son, ‘the linens, Miss Audrey Ross, the trousseau. Miss Betty Hunniford displayed, the gifts in the afternoon and Mrs. ■ Keith Britnell in the evening. Misses Kathleen Webb , and Marilyn Gratton served and Miss Nancy Broderick received and directed the guests to. the dis­ plays. Mrs-. Cub Pack Enjoys Party Oh Beach The first Grand Bend Wolf Cub Pack and their leaders, Alex Hamilton, cubmaster, and assistants, Mrs. Clayton«Mathers and Mr. Gerald Webb, enjoyed an end of the season party on the beach on Monday evening, June 11. Asseriibling at the Brenner Hotel the pack, 28 in number plus 8 prospective complete with Pole, marched to the beach where supper awaited them. When the last hotdog, popsicle, cake and ice-cream had disap­ peared, the group gathered to present Mr. Webb "with a small wedding gift in appreciation of his kind interest and help during the Winter. Two cubs, Gary Mathers and Jimmy Young were presented with stars for successfully com­ pleting'), their second star work. Twelve cubs received small awards for competition In at­ tendance and neatness of ap­ pearance. After a song, the pack dispersed, tired but'> happy, to assemble again in September, Through the generosity of several citizens, all food for the party was donated.
