Role Of Mothers
Meeting Theme
“Mothers” was the theme for
the May meeting of the James
St. Evening Auxiliary held in
the church parlors on Monday
evening.
Mrs. Alex Rapson was guest
speaker and gave an, appropriate
Mother’s Day message, stressing
the importance of mothers.
Mrs, J. (H. Jones conducted the
worship service. Betty Dixon
contributed two piano solos and
Mrs. Clare Green, a solo.
Mrs. Ralph Batten, president,
conducted the business when
plans were made ffor the C.G.I.T.
mother and daughter banquet on
May 1? and for the June meet
ing of the Auxiliary.

At Clandeboye
In a setting of white mums,
snapdragon and fern in 'St, James’
Anglican Church, Clandeboye, on
Saturday, April 28, Betty Ann
Cunningham and 'George Francis
Stiltz were married. The Ibride
■is the daughter of Mr. and’Mrs.
Gordon Cunningham and the
groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Vincent iStiltz of Delaware.
The 3 o’clock ceremony was
performed by the -rector, Rev. J.
tP. Prest and traditional wedding
music was played by Mrs. J. 'H.
Paton.
Bride In Blue
Escorted by her father, the
'bride wore a semi-formal gown
of sky -blue with white acces
sories. She carried a bouquet of
red roses and mums with maiden
hair fern.
'She was attended by June
Fanson, London, in white with
navy blue accessories. Her (bou
quet was of yellow roses and
white mums.
The groomsman was Clark
iStanley and the ushers were
Beverley and Clifford Cunning
ham.
The reception was held at the
home of the bride’s .parents
where her mother received in
navy blue taffeta with corsage
of red roses. She was assisted by
the groom's mother gowned in
similar colors. Assisting at the
reception were Mrs. Douglas
Hinidmarsih, Miss Marie Morgan,
Mi's. Morris Morgan and Miss
Ruth O’Neil,.
For a wedding trip in the
United States the 'bride donned a
’navy blue suit with white ac
cessories.
(On their return, Mr. and Mrs.
iStiltz will reside at Delaware.

Startford sorority on the occa
sion of the silver (anniversary of
Founder’s Bay in Victoria Inn,
Stratford, on Wednesday evening
last.
Miss Bentley epoke on the
significance of Beta Sigma Phi’s
silver anniversary, pointing out
the growth in cultural and civic
programs of chapters as well os
the new chapters formed during
the 25 years.
The highlight of the evening
was the presentation of the
Order of the Rose to Mrs. Wat
son of the .Stratford chapter.
