Wearing a ballerina-length gown of pale 'blue taffeta and »et wit'll matching (hat, the bride was. given in (marriage by 'her father. iShe carried an arrange­ ment of American Beauty roses with -white hyacinth roses. . Mrs. Gerald Lewis, Lucan, was her sister’s only attendant, gown­ ed in ballerina-length pale pink taffeta and net with matching hat. A bouquet of white carna­ tions and 'blue hyacinth leaves completed her ensemble. Donald McAlpine, of Windsor, was best man and ushers were Clare, iSfanley and Gerald Lewis of Lucan. (Receiving in the church hall, the bride’s mother wore an aqua dress with (beige accessories and yellow ros^ corsage. The groom’s ■mother assisted, in a navy dress (with navy accessories and. red ■rose corsage. ■ V>n their return from a wed­ ding trip to the Eastern United States, the couple will .reside in Lucan. The (bride travelled in a powder 'blue suit with 'beige ac­ cessories and corsage of yellow roses. Anglican Men Form Group At a meeting in Holy Trinity Church basement last Monday night an Anglican Men’s Club was organized with the president, Mr. Jack Murdy; vice-president, Mr. Austin Hoggins; secretary- treaburer, Mr, Frank Hovey, The men of the congregation were divided into groups of 40 with the following group lead­ ers: (1) Mr. Erwin (Scott, (2) Mr. Clarence Haskett and (3) Mr, Vincent Hodgins. Ensinger Hibbert Native Mrs. William Ensinger, the former Annie May Brook, passed away in (Stratford General Hos­ pital at the age of 74. She lay at rest in the C. Haskett and (Son (funeral home, Lucan, till Thursday, April 19, when the Rev. Thomas G. Head of Granton United Church conducted funeral services. Interment was in Gran­ ton cemetery. Pallbearers were Norman Riddell, Charles Jones, Bert Jones, William Jones, Elmer Harlton and Percy Hodgins. Daughter of the late Mr. arid Mrs. John Brook she was born in Hibbert Township. After her marriage to W-illiam Ensinigei- she lived on a farm near Gran­ ton. Her husband predeceased her in 1951. She is survived by i;one ■son, Norman, of Waterloo and one daughter, Mre. Wilbert Knowles of Granton; also two ■brothers, James Brook of Exeter and Alfred ‘Brook, Winchelsea. R. A., C. Mills with interment in St. Marys cemetery. He was born on Con. 4, Bid­ dulph, about' four miles north of Lucan and was the son of the late George and Ellen Armitage. His wife, the former Susan (Cousins, predeceased him in De- ■cemiber 1953; The couple'lived in Granton for a number of years where Mr. Armitage was a C.N.R. ■section 'hand. On retirement in 19'31 they moved to St. Marys. He was a member of. St. James’ Anglican Church. He is sur-vived by one 'brother, Fred Armitage, of Alice Street, Lucan. Safety Parade Jn spite of weather conditions the safety drive sponsored 'by t'he Lions Club, Council, Arena 'Board, Legion, Home and School and School Board last Friday was carried out according to schedule with a parade at 11 a.m., tests in the afternoon and speeches and films at night. The /children were out im large numbers 'for the films but those in charge were disappoint­ ed at the interest shown by the adults. Music Festival Winners Mr. Ira Carling of Lucan entered eight of 'his pupils in various guitar Classes at the Kiwanis Music Festival at (Hamil­ ton last week. AU brought (honor ■to themselves and their teacher •by winning one gold medal, five ■second prizes and four thirds. Gerald Hamilton of Lucan came ■third with 88 marks in the 16' and Under class for Spanish guitar. He was the only Lucan entry. 'Shirley Noyes of London not only won the gold medal with 90 marks in the 13 and under class, 'but with Allan Johnston came second with 87 marks in the Hawaiian guitar duet class.
