Exeter Mohawks Booster ‘Club ■will break' even financially on (this year’s .activities, Treasurer Bill Musser reported tat a public meeting Friday night. The report provided a happy sequel ito the hockey club’s suc- cessf uil season on the ice in which they reached the (provincial semi­ finals. It indicated the local club is much better off than other teams in the Major 'Group who are reported to be as much as several thousands in debt. Donations from fans, town businessmen and organizations have lifted the club’s balance out of the red. The booster organi- ■port during their fund-raising campaign near tlhe end of the season. The booster cl-ub will add to the $300 voted by town council to provide jackets for the mem* Lee Learn s Milkmen New Bowling Champs Lee Learn’s Milkmen captured the Tip Top Tailors’ champion­ ship trophy for the men’s bowl­ ing league this week 'by defeat­ ing Amos Darling’s Ringers in a five-game, ‘total-pin playoff. The dairy 'boys, who also won the Lafoatt trophy as winners of "A” group, outscored the Ring­ ers 5,719 to 5,6'24. Ringers won the Pittsburg trophy, emblema­ tic of “B” group championship. A father and son combination led the Milkmen to their victory. Captain Lee Learn and his son, Max, trundled five-game totals of 1,168 and 1,153 to spark the winners. Best for the Ringers was Basil Preszcatot’s 1,164. This is the first year the Milk­ men have captured the champion­ ship title, won last year by the Whizz Bangs, Members of this year’s team are Ray Smith, Chub EdtWards, King McDonald, Heron Dettmar and Reg -Stagg. The other league award, the Kist trophy for league winner, ■was won 'by the Windmills this year.
