L Tieman’s Hardware, Dashwood, will supply 1,200 bags of cement. Contract price for the iSititer Municipal Drain was $1,890. The fob went to L. H. Turnbull and Son, Grand Bend. Council appointed Lawrence Hill trench inspector. Meetings of the council from May to 'October will be held on Tuesdays at 7 pun. The Ladies Aid -of Zion Luther­ an church surprised Rev. and Mrs. L. Higeuell when they gath­ ered at the parsonage last Wed­ nesday evening to present Ithem with a gift prior to their leaving Dashwood. The evening was spent playing crokinole. Winners were high, Mrs. Lloyd Rader; consolation, Mrs. Jacob (Schroeder. -Mrs. M. Manner read the address and Mrs. Reinhold Rel'ler and Mrs. E. Koelhler presented ithem -with a table lamp. -Both Rev, and, Mrs. Higenell made appropriate plies. Kinsmen Club Assists Drive Exetei* Kinsmen, meeting on Thursday night, agreed to assist the Exeter^ and district chapter of the Canadian Cancel’ (Society with its campaign for funds in this area. Other recipients were: five years, Les Parker, Don iSouth- cott; four years, Sheldon Wein; three years, Cliff Braman; two years, Cliff Quance, Gord Bayn- ham; one year, George Nose­ worthy, Gilbert Dow, Lloyd Ford and Harpld Preszcator. A report on the Kinsmen sum­ mer playground, submitted by former service committee chair­ man Ray Wuerth, showed $1,150 had been spent on the project in 1955. Bob Nicol, Exeter, won the $50 draw. The club attended the Mohawk- Electric playoff hockey game in a 'body following the meeting.
