Cottle Dies In Hospital Mrs. James 'Cottle of Usborne ■township passed away in 'South Huron Hospital on Friday, March ‘30 in her eightieth year. 'She had been in ill health for some time. iShe was born in lElimville, the former Maud B r i <m 'a c o m b e, daughter of the late John Brima- cpmbe and Elizabeth Copper. She was united in marriage with; James Dottle, January 1'5 19QI by Rev, W. J. Waddell. They lived in the farm now occupied by 'their son, IRay, 'until moving to Thames Road, -21 years ago. She was a member of Thames Road church. >She is survived fry hey hus­ band, 'two sons, Ray and Alvin of Usborne and two daughters, (Marie) Mrs. Herbert Harrison of St. Paul’s and Beta at home, also •two grandchildren, Ross and Lois Cottle. The funeral service was con­ ducted ait the’’ Hopper Hockey funeral home on Monday by Rev. W. J. Moores with interment in Exeter cemetery. The pall bearers were Wm. Hodgson, London; Harold Hodg­ son, Granton; (Stanley Coward, Roy Coward, 'Percy. Duncan, James Hodge, all of Usborne. The flower bearers were Ross Cottle^ Lois Cottle, Marion Oke, Wm, iSnow, Niorman Passmore, Chas Coward and Wm. Ferguson. Letter From Brinsley By MRS. A program given in the United Church Sunday School whs convened .by the Young Ladies* Class. 'Patricia Chambers presided and exercises and music­ al numbers were given ’by the several classes. An inspiring message was de­ livered by Rev. A. Rapson at the church service and Easter an­ thems were rendered by the choir. The church was decorated with Easter lilies -and flowers. The sunrise service in the Evangelical Church was largely attended on. Sunday ' morning. Rev. and Mrs, E. Wattam of Grand Bend were in attendance and assisted in the service. Break­ fast was served. A profusion of flowers decorated the rostrum. Rev, G. Strome brought 'an ap­ propriate Easter message at the morning service. The choir con­ tributed two anthems. Ladies’ Aid & W.S.W.S, Mns. Freeman iMorlock was in charge of the devotional period when the Ladies’ Aid and W.S.­ W.S. met in the church school room of the' Evangelical Church on Tuesday evening with a large attendance, An exercise and song, “What took place between Palm Sunday and Easter,” was given* by four teenage girls, Mrs. Morlock and Mrs. E. Fahner played a piano duet. ■Mrs. Morlock" reviewed the study hook and was assisted by Mrs. Emery Gaiser, Mrs. Arthur Gaiser and Mrs. Emerson Wein. Mrs. Ross Krueger presided for the business portion. Mem­ bers decided to hold a home’bak­ ing sale 'and serve 'an “April Shower Tea” in the Crediton Community Centre on Saturday, April 21. “The Goals of Growth” was explained by Mrs. E. Wenzel and the missionary program by Mrs. Gordon 'Ratz. Personal Items Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gaiser visited last week with relatives in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Faist and sons of St. Thomas spent Good Friday with Mrs. M. Faist, who returned to St. Thomas with them and returned home'on Sun­ day.
