Until recent years -she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening, and will be glad when warm weather comes so she can, sit on the veran dah . 1 A native of the 2nd concession of Hay Township, 'Mrs. Buchanan attributes her long life to plenty of hard work and taking each day in its stride. A resident of Hensall for the past 2*7 years, she came here after residing with her husband follow ing their marriage on a farm in Tuckersmith. (She likes ito rem inisce over the early days'. iShe remembers when people cut the trees, put them in piles and burnt them ito clear .the land to grow .crops. 'They first ihad a span of oxen, then years later they got a team of light horses- and a lumbei’ wagon which was their only means of transportation. She 'attended church at Rogervi'l- le with her parents who came to Canada from Ireland, when, the late iRev, John Legie was the min ister at that time. iShe has two sons, one daugh ter, eleven grandchildren and six teen great-grandchildren. Sangster Dies In London Mrs. James Sangster, Hensall, passed away .suddenly at ithe home of her daughter and son- in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Peebles in London on Wednesday morn ing. iShe was the former Letitia Robertson, ‘daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. > David Robertson of Hensall. Her husband predeceased -her sever ail years ago. Easter Services Special Easter services were Observed in the local churches on Sunday last. The churches were lovely with Easter flowers. Ap propriate messages and 'Special Easter music were heard. Pee Wees Win Twice Hensall Pee Wees team a splendid showing at the Canada Pee Wee Hockey Tourna ment held at Goderich, winning their first two games with Brus sels with a score of 6-2, Londes- boro 4-1 on Saturday last. They went into the semi-finals with Mildmay on Monday but yere defeated, Mildmay winning with the score 4-1.
