McKELLAR Anniversaries Celebrated The occasion of the forty-fifth wedding anniversary of Mr, and Mrs. Andrew McLachlan, Crom­ arty, and 'the 'fifty-fifth annivers­ ary of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Allen, Mitchell, was marked with a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carter Kerslake, St’affa, on Wednesday, March 7. AM members of the families of the honored couples were present.' Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Mc­ Lachlan are ‘sisters, daughters of the late (Mr. and Mrs. James Scott. Mr. Allen is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Allen and (Mr. .'McLachlan is av'' son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald McLachlan, all 'being born in Hibbert Township. They have spent most of their lives near Cromarty. Mr. and Mrs. Allen were mar­ ried at ithe home of the (bride’s father in Hibbert on (March 6, 1901, by Rev. Peter Scott and Mr. and Mrs. McLachlan’s mar­ riage took place at the 'bride’s home in Exeter on March 8, 1911, 'by Rev. 'Samuel Sharp. (Mr. and Mrs. Allen have one son,- Ernest, of Mitchell, 'and- a daughter, Mrs. Harold Coleman (Mary), of Staff a. Mr. and (Mrs. McLachlan have one daughter, Mrs. Carter Kerslake (Grace), of Staffs. During the afternoon -many friends called to offer congratula­ tions and many gifts were pre­ sented to .the two couples.
