PORTER An outline of the plot of “No Rhyme Nor Reason” will illus trate well the type of fun for those who will attend the product ion on Feb. 8 and 9. Constance Carraway, a sedate young doctor, brings her pew hus band, Pat, a happ y-go-lucky night-club entertainer, home to live. "Home" is her cottage on the grounds of Sunnydell lupatic asy lum, where she is employed, Pat gets1 into trouble with Dr. Beebe, head of the institution. Constance sides with Beebe and this provokes Pat. So, when Bobo, an old friend from the chorus line, turns up unexpectedly, he decides to have some fun. He smuggles Bobo into a pat ient’s dance wearing an inmate’s Uniform. He tells Beebe her name is Sylvia Sylvestra. Then the real Sylvia arrives1 and so does Pat’s rich Aunt Laura. The aunt had disinherited him years before, but now, hearing that he is at Sunnydell, she as sumes that he is insane. And when Pat learns he is restored to her good graces only because of his insanity, he does not alter that misunderstanding. When Beebe threatens to re veal the truth, he locks him in A closet, not knowing that an es caped lunatic is also hiding there. The lunatic takes Beebe’s clothes and his identity. Then another “Sylvia” arrives. Complications pile on complicat ions. The dashing in and out of doors, hiding in closets, mistaken identity, cross questions and crooked answers, add up to farce written to entertain an audience, Aid Ticket Sales Here is a list of sponsors who accepted blocks of seats to sell. Loses Hair To A Wig One of the sights worth observ ing in this production is the wig worn by Gerry Godbolt, A string floor mop was shorn to a length of two inches. After it was dyed black, Alma Godbolt and Edna Glaab gave it a “Toni". This produced the required cur ly effect. During early rehearsals, the wig would not stay on Gerry’s head. This was soon rectified by a little glue. However, tragedy struck when Gerry could not re move the wig and Alma, excited, snatched off not only the wig but also a huge patch of hair. If Gerry looks balder, the above account is an accurate descrip tion of the reason. Edgar Cudmore Superintendent Mi'. Edgar Cudmore was ap pointed superintendent with Mr. •G. Hamilton, Mr. D.
