Hensall Resident Dies In Clinton Death claimed one of Hensail’s citizens in the person of Miss Hattie Dent Sutherland 87, who passed away suddenly in Clinton Community Hospital on Thurs­ day evening, December 29 where she had been a patient since March. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Sutherland she was born in Auburn, and had been a resident of the village for over seventy years. She was a member of the United Church, life 10ng~lfiember of the Women’s Missionary Society, Women’s In­ stitute, and W.C.T.U. Public funeral services were held from the Bonthron funeral home oiy Saturday conducted by Rqv. C. D. Daniel. Mrs. George Hess rendered a solo with Miss Greta Lammie, accompanist. Kyle, visited seven of their shut-in members and made,, their Christmas a little brighter with carol singing and presentations of Christmas baskets. Injured In Fall John Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Taylor jr, of Kip­ pen, employed with The Huron- dale Dairy here, had the misfor­ tune while delivering milk to slip and fall on the ice landing on the milk carrier, He received a cut to the wrist and injured the cords to the finger on his' right hand, which was placed in a cast at Clinton Community hospital. Switches were required to close the injury. He was released from the hospital over the weekend. casion. In -the even­ ing cards and dancing were en­ joyed. At midnight about 40 guests were served lunch with a three tier wedding cake gracing the table. Workman Dies In Hospital Mrs. Hannah Workman, kiglh- lyr esteemed resident of Hensall for over ithirty five years p-assed away in -South. Huron Hospital, {Exeter, Thursday December 22, ■ having been a patient <there for two weeks. ;In her 76'th year, Mrs* Workman, the former Hannab, Thomson, was horn on the Lon­ don Road south of Kipp e n, daughter of the late George and Hannah Thomson, Her husband, the late David Workman, passed away in 1917, and in the fall Of that year Mrs. Workman and family took up residence in Hen­ sail. Mrs, Workman was active in recent years ih various organ!*- zations of 'Carmel Presbyterian Church, life long member of the Women's Missionary Society and former president of that organi­ zation.
