Mrs. Alcona Sarah Marshall
Funeral services for Mrs. Al-
cena Sarah Marshall, 62, were
held from the George E* Logan
and Sons funeral home, London,
on Monday, conducted by the
Rev. J. A. 0. McKennitt, Inter
ment was in Mt. Pleasant.
Daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Phoenix McLean, Mrs. Mar
shall was born at Elginfield on
the farm now owned by her bro
ther, Mr. Alvip McLean. She at
tended BJrr Public School and
Lucap High School. After her
marriage to Robert Marshall
they farmed in London township
before moving to Market Street,
Lucan, where they lived for 10
years. For the past 18 years she
lived in London. Mr. Marshall
died in 1949.
She is survived by two daugh
ters, Mrs. Lee J. Taylor (Merle)
and Mrs. Kenneth L, Raymond
(Marion), both of London; one
son, Graham, of Scarboro; two
■brothers, Leroy McLean, of Al
berta, and Alvin McLean, Elgin
field; three sisters, Miss Neta.
McLean, London, Mrs. Louisa
Cobleigh, London township, and
Mrs. Myrtle Baynes, London.
League of Loyalty

Celebrate Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Harlton,
of Granton, celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary at

Surprise Birthday
Mr. Wilbert Revington was
guest of honour' at .a surprise
birthday party is his home on
Friday evening, November 25,
All the members of his family
but Mrs. Gailey Johnston, of St.
Catharines, wore present. They
presented him with a pop-up
toaster.
Though 84 years of age, Mr.
Revington enjoys good health.
He has lived alone since Mrs.
Revington’s death in October,
1954. Three weeks prior to her
death, they celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary. .
Lions Club Dinner
Mrs. H. T, Bond’s group of
the Anglican Ladies Guild cater
ed for the Lions Clulb dinper in
the church basement ’ Monday
evening.
During the business session,
plans were imide for the annual
turkey bingo to be held in the
Stanley Hall, Thursday, Decem
ber 15. Proceeds from the bingo
will go towards welfare work.

The Lucan Lions Club spon

Stanley Hall last Thursday night
